Examination Management – Examination Cloning

Exam development specialists can now quickly create a new examination by cloning an existing one, reducing publication time and minimizing errors associated with manual data entry.

To clone an exam:

1. Navigate to the Exam Form Group listing page.
2. Click the Clone button next to the exam you want to duplicate.
3. Enter a new name for the cloned exam.

All settings and layout configurations will be copied automatically. However, Forms will not be cloned and must be added to the new examination.

Item Review Project Setup – Improved Item Assignments

The Item Assignment page in Item Review Project Setup has been enhanced to streamline the process for large item pools. Now, instead of assigning items one page at a time, you can assign all items to a single Primary Reviewer in a single operation, saving time and effort.

Examination Publishing – Pearson VUE Athena Desktop MSMC Support

The Multiple Selection Multiple Choice (MSMC) Pearson external item type in Pro! has been updated to utilize Pearson’s native QTI format for desktop-based examinations, aligning with Pearson’s desktop examination roadmap.

Item Print – Rationale Support

Authorized users can now print an item’s rationale in addition to the previously supported metadata while viewing the item. Users can select which data to include, arrange it in their preferred order, and click the Print button to generate a customized printout. This enhancement provides greater flexibility in tailoring printed item details to specific needs.

Item Authoring – Data

The newly redesigned Data popup replaces the previous Data Tab, providing a more convenient way to view key high-level item details. This popup displays important modification history, including who made changes and when. Additionally, it includes essential statistical data, such as CTT exposure, p-value, and IRT values, for quick reference.

Item Authoring – Comments

The Comments tab has been replaced with a more convenient popup that is accessible from the Quick Comment Panel. This enhancement allows users to view both comments and item content simultaneously. The popup can be resized and moved for better usability while maintaining the same robust functionality as before. Additionally, changes such as adding new comments, adjusting visibility, and deleting comments are now instantly saved and function independently of the item’s content.

Performance Changes

Logging has been enhanced to provide better control over audit logs and debug trace logs. Audit interceptors are always enabled, ensuring that access records are consistently logged. Meanwhile, debug trace logging is now configurable, allowing it when troubleshooting is needed. This separation improves log management and system performance.
