User Management — Improved User Provisioning

When creating a new Pro! Managed user through Account Provisioning, the user’s contact email is now automatically carried forward into their authentication account. The principal email address is no longer used for this purpose, eliminating the extra step of manually updating the email in User Management after account creation.

Publishing — XML Format Support

A new “XML Format (Prometric)” option has been added to the publishing driver list. Delivery settings are not required, as they are not included in the published output. During publishing, the examination is traversed top-down, exporting items in each section in the order they are encountered in their associated Poolbook. Items are included in the examination snapshot, with hooks to attach CTT stats, and will appear on each item’s usage page. When publishing multiple forms, a separate XML file is generated for each form, named using the EFG and Form name.

Poolbook XML Export: Exhibit Media Support

The Poolbook XML export now supports media exhibits referenced directly within item content, passages, and rationales. When an exhibit reference is found, the exhibit name is used as the file name and downloaded along with the XML file. If the same exhibit is referenced across multiple items, passages, or rationales, only one copy is exported. Exhibits are exported as-is and are not converted.

Poolbook XML Export: Passage and MathML Support

The poolbook XML export now supports passages. Items associated with a passage will include the passage content in the exported XML. Passage content supports both text and embedded exhibits, consistent with the formatting support provided for item content. Passages are optional in the schema; if an item has no associated passage, passage elements will be omitted from the XML output.

The poolbook XML export now supports generating standard MathML. A section-level setting controls whether math content is rendered as MathML or exported as an image.

Publishing — Improved Screen Reader Support for Math Content

To better support modern screen readers, math content now uses the aria-label when MathML is enabled via section configuration settings. This update applies to Pro! Backoffice Publishing for Athena Browser Edition and Test!. When an image is used instead of MathML, existing image and alt-text behavior is unchanged.

Section Associated Passages — Back Office and Remote Item Writing

Passages are now scoped to a specific section rather than treated as global resources. This change improves control over content access and maintains the same content separation as with items.

General UI Changes

Minor interface updates have been applied across several areas to improve usability and guidance. Additional helper text has been added throughout Reference Management and Section Management to better guide users. Minor on-screen updates have been applied to the EFG Supplemental Material buttons. The Poolbook Execute Action list now displays in alphabetical order. Tooltip messages have been added to Passage Detail Authoring to indicate when a passage is locked and explain why, with additional tooltips on each locked item within the Items list. The Item Classification Assignment menu option has been relocated to Data Management.

Activity and Event log records are now generated when printing or exporting from the following areas:

Item Classification Import — Master Code Support

The Item Classification import process has been updated to support Master Code as the item identifier. The first column in the import file has been renamed from ITEM_ID to MASTER_CODE, enabling clients to associate items with classifications in bulk using their Master Code identifiers.

Item Import — Simplified Import Process

The Item Import process has been updated to remove the Vendor concept, generalizing the workflow. The import criteria page has been simplified to require only a description and an import file. Corresponding updates have been applied to the import listing and search results pages, including their column management options.

Poolbook — Section-Scoped Unique Naming

Poolbook names are now enforced as unique within their respective section. Authorized users may reuse a poolbook name across different sections, and a user-friendly validation message is displayed if a duplicate name is entered within the same section.

Sign-Out Enhancements

A Sign Out button has been added within the application, allowing users to manually sign out at any time. When the idle timeout is reached, the application will automatically close and sign the user out of their session without prompting.

AI-Assisted Content Classification

Pro! now offers AI-assisted Content Classification, a new capability that helps item authors classify content more efficiently. Using an AI model trained on your organization’s own content outline and competency definitions, the feature suggests primary and secondary classifications for selected items and passages, then flags where those suggestions align with the classifications your authors have already assigned.

Because the model is trained specifically on your content outline, its suggestions reflect your framework rather than a generic taxonomy. Classification results are returned in a downloadable spreadsheet for review.

To support the feature, a new Content Classification permission has been added under the Miscellaneous permission group; when enabled, it allows a user to run the AI-assisted classification process. The feature must also be enabled and configured per section and is off by default, giving you section-level control over whether AI assistance is available for a given pool of content.

Item Authoring — MSMC Item Support for Passage-Based Projects

Project managers can now include Multiple Select Multiple Choice (MSMC) items in passage-based authoring projects. Remote writers can create MSMC items associated with passages directly within the Passage Details view or while authoring other associated items. Full editing capabilities are supported, including rationales, comments, and passage editing from within an open item. Authors can toggle between item-centric and passage-centric views, preview all associated items with full navigation, and existing mentoring and submission rules continue to apply.

Item Review — MSMC Passage Review Project Support

Item review projects now fully support MSMC items with associated passages and mixed item type combinations. Review rounds, edits, working copies, compare changes, comments, and round completion all function correctly across passages with multiple associated item types.

Item Review — Round Summary – Configurable Table Page Size

The reviewer tables on the Round Summary page now include a page size control, allowing users to select their preferred number of rows to display. The default page size is 15.

Item Review — Post Review Access for Secondary Reviewers

To support review meetings, Secondary Reviewers (SR) can now be granted read-only access to their completed work and all project comments while the Primary Review (PR) round is still active — eliminating the need for separate exported reports.

The project detail table now includes the item’s Poolbook order value, allowing the meeting facilitator to quickly reference which item is under discussion and helping both Primary and Secondary Reviewers locate items faster.

A new round setting allows the PR to enable Post Review Access for SRs once their review work is complete and the team is ready for the remediation session.

Once enabled, SRs can open items from their Completed queue in read-only mode and are able to:

• Compare their changes against the Round Start version of the content.
• Preview items.
• View Item Review level comments from all SRs in the round via an enhanced Round Summary view.
• View all new item comments created in the project.

Remote Item Authoring / Review — Comment Editor Usability

When creating item or passage comments, the cursor is now automatically placed in the comment editor, allowing users to begin typing immediately.

User Profile — Self-Service Profile Management

Remote users can now access and manage their own profile information directly within the application. The profile is accessible via a dropdown menu under the user’s name, allowing users to update personal information, such as their display name.

A Sign Out option has been added, allowing users to manually sign out at any time. Upon signing out, users are returned to the login screen and prompted to log in again. When the idle timeout is reached, the user is automatically signed out without displaying a confirmation prompt.
